Video Summary

Eli emphasizes that every individual is born with an innate soul purpose that can be uncovered through continuous self-healing and personal integration. By engaging in various therapeutic modalities and facing uncomfortable boundaries, people can push past the body’s natural resistance and align with their authentic selves. Ultimately, living out one’s true calling leads to profound personal fulfillment and contributes to a more harmonious world.

Discovering Your Soul Purpose

  • Eli introduces “The Eli Effect” as a journey toward discovering one’s true soul purpose and essence.
  • Drawing from his 44 years of experience as a psychotherapist, he emphasizes that every person is born with a specific soul path.
  • Children often naturally demonstrate their innate soul purpose early on, though adults and family members do not always recognize or support it.
  • When individuals align with their true calling, they receive natural support and mentorship, whereas deviating from this path often leads to being blocked until they realign.

The Path of Healing and Self-Actualization

  • Living out one’s soul purpose requires continuous personal healing to piece together an integrated, authentic self.
  • Eli outlines several healing techniques he has utilized, such as rebirthing, breathwork, psychodrama, soul retrieval, and internal family systems therapy.
  • Clearing out gunk from the lower bodies (mental, emotional, etheric, and physical) makes it easier to access spiritual realms and deeper purpose.
  • Establishing the authentic self as the leader of one’s internal personality parts allows a person to overcome childhood and societal fragmentation.

Pushing Boundaries and Overcoming Comfort

  • Achieving soul integration requires a willingness to “surf your edges” and step outside of comfortable boundaries.
  • The physical body and subconscious mind naturally crave comfort and resist change by producing fear or discomfort.
  • Overcoming this internal resistance requires the thinking mind to take control over fear-driven feelings.
  • Eli uses his personal experience with skydiving to illustrate how pushing through intense fear leads to personal growth and overcoming ego-driven hesitation.

Mentors and Recognizing Innate Potential

  • Mentors play a critical role throughout life by encouraging individuals to recognize and fulfill their hidden potential.
  • Eli highlights how early mentors influenced his own life trajectory, prompting him to leave unfulfilling work to pursue higher education and therapy.
  • Using applied kinesiology muscle testing, Eli checks consciousness levels to help individuals identify their inherent soul essence.
  • Parents and guardians are encouraged to actively identify and support a child’s natural talents rather than letting those callings go unfulfilled.

Transforming the Self to Change the World

  • Reclaiming one’s true identity is compared to putting “Humpty Dumpty back together” after being fragmented by life’s challenges.
  • When individuals do the hard work to heal and integrate themselves, they tap into an unstoppable inner force and rocket-fuel energy.
  • Living one’s true purpose brings profound daily fulfillment, turning everyday work into a deeply rewarding experience.
  • If everyone actively lived out their true soul purpose, society as a whole would function more harmoniously and effectively.

Video Transcript

Hola, good morning, welcome to the first Eli Effect podcast. My name is Tom, our website is elitherestorer.com and if you haven’t seen it, sorry, the Eli Effect book is on Amazon. And I want to explain with these podcasts what the Eli Effect is all about. It’s about discovering your soul purpose. But a little background for me, I’ve been a psychotherapist for 44 years and I’ve been working all kinds of different modalities that I’ve been taught that I’ve done myself to enable people to put themselves back together. The world needs our purpose. You know, look at the bumblebees. Their purpose is to pollinate. Now they don’t have free will like we do. They don’t choose. They just do what’s in their essence. Well guys, we have an essence. It’s the nature of who you are. What the Eli Effect book talks about, even though it’s my journey, it’s your journey and everybody else’s journey, is how to do this. Nobody tells us this when we’re young. You know, I hear these stories from my clients when they were kids. Their soul purpose was coming out already. I had a client recently in and she was telling me that as a little girl, she loved to write songs and she loved to do artworks, drawings, very creative little girl. Unfortunately, her family couldn’t see what was there and they did not support her to go to school or whatever she needed to do to bring this out more and more. So the Eli Effect is, Eli is my higher soul. Okay. You have a lower soul and a higher soul. I was told back in the early nineties that I had a second name. It’s Eli. And that doesn’t mean I’m changing my name. It’s the essence of my soul. The Eli Effect was fully supported by hundreds of people. As I progressed, I just turned 75. Yay. I made it. Me and my twin brother made another one. And the Eli Effect is going to be supported. If you start to get on your journey, your soul purpose journey, the mentors will show up. The support will show up. The Eli Effect is, Eli. I remember back in 1981, I was almost, I was going to graduate school and I want to start my therapy practice. And I was working in a hospital as a social worker. And these doctors were enamored with me. They saw something. I didn’t see it. Three of them let me use their offices for free. One of them co-signed insurance forms for me. So that’s what happens. You will get supported if you’re on your soul path. If you’re not, you’ll get what I call God blocked. You’ll get blocked. And it happens. It’s not to be punished though. It’s you’re off your path. You know, my rabbi, rabbi Joel, who was probably my greatest mentor and teacher said, you’re born with your soul path. It’s always there. Now you can veer way over here. Like I did with my addiction to cocaine for six years. But once I got sober, guess what? I eventually got back on my path. And guys, I’ve been living it ever since. It’s been a wild ride. I feel like I’ve been shot out of a rocket ship. I feel like I’ve been shot out of a rocket ship. The process to do this is heal yourself. To become the authentic self you’re meant to be. You know, Maslow talks about self-actualization on his pyramid. You have to actualize yourself. But you have to do the healing work. There’s multiple tools that I used over the years for this. And later in the book and in these podcasts, I’ll be talking about them individually. But breath work, rebirthing, psychodrama work, soul retrievals to bring my soul parts back, internal family systems therapy, which is where you work with your parts to your personality. Because we’re all kind of multiple personalities. This part wants to do this. This part wants to do that. It’s kind of like what would happen if the president was running the country, but his cabinet all wanted to go in a different direction. This country would be a mess. So the self, the authentic self has got to be the leader. And that’s what internal family systems therapy taught me. I spent about eight months in that therapy because I have to try everything once. I’m a junkie for healing in that. But there’s many healing tools we can use. One of the first ones that I highly recommend is the rebirthing, which is hyperventilating for an hour. You have eight bodies. have eight bodies. You have a mental body, you have an emotional body, you have an etheric body, you have a physical body. The other four bodies are kind of like the higher chakras or more on the spiritual realm. Well, if you don’t clear out the gunk from the first four bodies, it’s hard to get into the other bodies and stay there for very long. When you become more whole by doing these healing modalities, and there’s many more that we’ll be talking about in this, on these podcasts, the different things that I’ve learned. The more you do it, the more whole you become, which makes accessing your purpose a lot easier. I was talking to a dear friend yesterday about surfing your edges, going out of your comfort zone a little bit. And I was explaining to him, I said, if you’re not willing to get uncomfortable, because my journey has been uncomfortable as heck, okay, at times. I didn’t always know why I was doing what I was doing, but I was trusting that inner voice, that Eli effect is what I call it, that force that’s inside of us, that helps us integrate and unify yourself to become a whole person. We are so fragmented by childhood issues, societal issues, religious issues, world issues, and on and on it goes. So the more whole you become, the easier it is to live your sole purpose, because it is not an easy job. You know, there’s many people, and I use Gandhi, he’s one of my favorite models for this. This was a little guy working as a lawyer, and all of a sudden he woke up one day, his sole purpose came screaming out, and eventually he was able to get the British out of India. And you know, he’s a little bitty guy, nothing much of size. So the easy, the better you become, the better you become, the better you become, the easier it is to live your sole purpose, because it is not an easy job. So the Eli effect, that force inside that was driving me, that was pushing me, unified me by integrating me, all these different parts of myself. Unification, by integrating this, creates a powerful force, that nothing can stop you. You’re going to be rocking and rolling for the rest of your life. But if you don’t step back and say, I got to do some healing work, why aren’t I living my purpose? That force will be weak. The more unified you become, the more integrated you become, the more powerful you become. Now the power isn’t about power, isn’t about power, isn’t about power. Like we’re thinking, you know, I want to control the world, be a president and all these things. It’s just the power inside. It drives you. It’s like rocket fuel. That force gives you the freedom to self-individuate, as Carl Jung called it. You know, I spent about a year and a half, maybe a little longer, in Jungian analysis when I was a young puppy at 26. I learned this. I’ve tried a lot of different things. I’m not suggesting you do all the things I’ve done, but do some of the things I’ve done to heal yourself. Because the process is basically putting Humpty Dumpty back together. We’re all Humpty Dumpties. William, the publisher, did a wonderful job on the back of that book. And he said, basically, what the Eli Effect is, is putting your Humpty Dumpty back together. Because we’ve all fallen off the wall. And we don’t know it. You know, we adapt. We are so good at adapting, at tolerating things, at putting up with things. And it just goes on and on and on. We don’t take the time to step back and find a good mentor. You know, my brother was finally reading the book. He wanted to wait until it was all printed in that. And he shared something on Facebook about it. He read about a third of the book. And what jumped out at him was all the mentors that I’ve had. Some really cool mentors. My first one was Mr. Conway. And I’ll talk about that in the book. I delivered mail for four and a half years before I figured out what the hell I was doing here. And Mr. Conway was on one of my mail routes. And he called me Tommy. And he’d say, Tommy, what are you doing this for? You got more going for you than this. Come on. You’re wasting your time here. And I used to dread delivering his mail because he’d be up my nose all the time. But I still thank him till this day because he was around my age when I met him. I’m sure he’s passed on. I wish I could find him and thank him. Mr. Conway, if you’re listening, thank you for supporting this. But it’s a process of putting Humpty Dumpty back together. You can call your effect whatever you want to. I’ve got a great niece now. Her name is Denali. She did something really brave a few weeks ago. And so I’m telling my clients because I got a picture of her in my office. I said, she’s doing the Denali effect. This little girl loves building things. She loves Legos, drawing buildings and all kinds of things. Well, she’s already showing her mom what’s in her soul, what she’s here to do. Tim and I have this amazing thing we do for people. It’s called a calibration applied kinesiology muscle testing. We do that to check your consciousness level and that we’ll get into this more in a later podcast. So we calibrated Denali as an architect. How much of her soul essence would be actualized doing that work? 100% Denali. So that’s already in her soul to be an architect. The parent’s job is to identify it like the girl that liked writing songs and doing all the artwork. And her parents blew it. They didn’t support her to follow her path. And here she is in her late twenties working a crappy job, miserable as hell. But I told her at her last appointment, I said, it’s not too late. You know, I got sober at 36. I was doing okay. I started my practice, had, you know, wealth coming in, different things like that. So to support myself. But once I got sober and got back on my path, it was amazing. You know, the next, let’s say 15 years blew my mind till I turned 50. And it’s been building ever since then. So if you read the book, what I’m hoping to do for everybody in these podcasts is to explain that force that’s inside of us that wants us. It’s like the bumblebee. It’s in it to pollinate. It doesn’t know why it’s doing it. It’s, it’s, it’s essence. Your essence is in there to be actualized as Maslow talks about. But if we don’t do the healing work, the likelihood of you jumping out of the plane with me, skydiving metaphorically, I’ve done it literally a few times is very unlikely because you’re the fear that’s in there. The program, the subconscious mind, the way the body works, the body likes comfort. And it’s addicted to chemicals as Joe Dispenza talks about to keep us in our comfort zone. It’s kind of like we all wear that dog collar. And when you’re getting off the reservation, doing things that are uncomfortable, you’re going to get zapped. Here’s the good news. If you don’t mind getting zapped and I don’t mind getting zapped. Do I like it? Not especially, but I know that’s part of the process because that’s the body trying to control me or control you. If you get that zapping and you know what’s going on. See, most people have no idea why change is so hard because the body, even if this should be our helpmate, the body and the mind should be working together. Joe Dispenza in his book called breaking the habit of being yourself, which I highly recommend says the thinking part of us has to be stronger than the feeling part. You know, the first time I went skydiving guys, I was freaking terrified. All right. But I wanted to do it because I weanied out when I was 26. I was supposed to do it then and I chickened out. So when I turned 50, all I heard in this head was jump and I knew what it meant. And so I did it four times and the rest is history. But I did not let the body control me. I followed through on it. Now, what was the body control me? I followed through on it. Now, what would have happened if I had done it at 26? I don’t know. Maybe things would have been a little different. Maybe I would have woke up quicker. But it took me another 10 years to get sober and do what I needed to do to get my life right and to become more humble. You know, the ego thinks it’s God. Right? Or whatever you believe it. It thinks it knows everything. It doesn’t know anything. Remember, the ego sees this much reality. Whoever is running the show here sees the whole picture. And that’s why the Eli Effect hopefully will inspire you guys to at least sit down and take a look at it. You know, look at your job. Look at your life. Is it really fulfilling you? Is it really stimulating me? When I go to work, it’s like Christmas morning every day because I’m living my sole purpose. I know what my purpose is and I’m able to pull that off. So as we do more of these podcasts, I’ll get into more and more what the Eli Effect says. What it did for me, what it can do for you, what it can do for the world. I just imagine a world where everybody wakes up every day like the bees and they know what they’re here to do. Okay? You’re doing your part. She’s doing her part. I’m doing my part. And the world starts working better like a good car. Right now the car is a dilopy. It’s all messed up because we’re not living our purpose. So I hope this explains a little bit of the world. It explains a little bit about what the Eli Effect book is. I’ll be talking about my journey, different things. I’m very open about this. But the more healing work you do, the easier it is to put yourself back together. And Humpty Dumpty had a great job, but he had to figure it out and put himself back together. That’s us. All right. Thanks for listening. And I will be doing a podcast once a week. My buddy Steve is going to put it on the platform. We’re going to find a day. I’m going to find a day every day once a week. It’ll show up in the morning when he puts it online and that. And please buy the book. It’s not about supporting me. You’ll support Eli in a different way by buying the book. It’s not about being a bestselling author. That’s going to happen or not. That’s up to the quantum field. The reason I wrote this book starting at 72 is I wanted to get the wisdom out there for you guys. Because so many people like my friend I was talking to yesterday don’t have a clue on what’s really going on here. Like Morpheus said to Neil, the world has been pulled over your eyes and boy has it. All right. Love you. Thank you. – Bye-bye.
