Video Summary
In this talk, Eli challenges his audience to abandon their subconscious societal programming and embrace the unique mission embedded within their soul. He warns that while the ego and body will initially resist this transition with fear and judgment, pushing through is necessary to live a fully self-actualized life. Ultimately, Eli emphasizes that everyone must make a distinct choice between conforming to external expectations or stepping out in faith to follow their true internal guidance.
The Eli Effect and Overcoming Social Programming
- Eli shares that his book, “The Eli Effect,” is currently spreading, and he mentions an upcoming book signing to his audience.
- During the talk, Eli highlights his personal journey of learning to trust his soul essence rather than his ego or mind.
- He explains that much of human behavior is driven subconsciously by the deep programming we receive from childhood, society, and religion.
- Eli points out that the vast majority of people are completely unaware of how heavily programmed they are, mistakenly believing they are making conscious choices.
The Challenges of Following Your Soul
- Choosing to follow your soul’s journey can trigger a strong reaction from your body, which may “kick and scream” or “zap you with chemicals”.
- Eli warns that living directly from your soul can make you appear crazy to others and even cause you to question your own sanity at times.
- The mind and ego will initially work against you, relying on fear, judgment, and control to maintain the status quo.
- However, if you allow fear to ride in the “passenger seat” and persist on your path, the internal resistance will eventually calm down.
Discovering Your Unique Mission
- Eli suggests that our creator places a specific program or mission inside our souls before we even enter this reality.
- People suffer from “dimensional amnesia,” a term he borrows from Rabbi Joe, meaning we arrive here forgetting who we truly are and what we are meant to do.
- Taking a leap of faith to fulfill your specific mission is critical if you want to avoid lying on your deathbed with a lot of regrets.
- To illustrate this, Eli shares that he knew as a teenager he was not meant to be a parent, actively choosing to ignore societal expectations regarding marriage and children.
Calibrating Soul Alignment
- Eli shares an anecdote about a young man who trained and got licensed as a barber but quickly quit because the career did not make sense to him.
- By calibrating the young man’s soul essence, Eli and his brother discovered that only 15% of his soul was aligned with being a barber.
- Eli and his brother offer a service where they calibrate career choices against a person’s soul alignment for a $20 fee to compensate for their time.
- Beyond this, Eli notes he is taking his practice online and is even doing soul-calibration sessions with his publisher, William.
The Ultimate Choice: Soul or Ego
- Ultimately, Eli states that life comes down to two primary choices: listening to the guidance of your soul essence or listening to your programmed mind.
- If you choose to follow your ego’s programming, you will have a life, but you will fail to self-actualize into the person you were meant to be.
- He urges his audience to “get busy living or get busy dying” by actively choosing to embrace their soul’s true calling.

Hola! Happy Friday! Well, good news, the Eli Effect book is spreading. I got a book signing I put on Facebook last night on August 29th at Miles Books in Highland if you live in the Northwest Indiana area from 1130 to 2. But what’s more exciting is the feedback that I’m getting from many of you. How stimulating the book is, how helpful, how I was able to show through my journey trusting my soul essence versus this little guy up here, that little parrot, that little voice, that little ego. And I want, today I wanted to talk about just that. When you’re following your soul’s journey, your body is going to kick and scream at times. It’s not going to understand why you’re doing it. And that’s tied into the programming of our childhood, of society, of our religious beliefs, and on and on it goes. Unfortunately, most people are not that aware of how horribly programmed they’ve been. You know, it’s that Bill Murray Groundhog Day. Let’s try a different path. Let’s try something new. Why do you got to keep wearing that? Don’t pick on me, I still love tie dye. But that’s my windy side. But that’s my windy side, my feminine essence. She loves her tie dyes. Today I chose to wear something else, the little thing I picked up when I was in Colorado. Dream catcher that I love this. But most people are unaware of how programmed they are. And then they just go about their life thinking they’re making the choices. You know, my buddy Joe Dispenza in his one book, Breaking the habit of being yourself, says that 95% of what we’re doing here is either unconscious or subconsciously driven, driven, unless you become conscious of it. When you’re living from your soul, your body is going to zap you with chemicals, as Joe talks about. The program is tied to fear, judgment, control. When you’re living from your soul, you’re going to look crazy to people. You’re going to look crazy to yourself at times. I know some of the moves I’ve made, my practical, logical mind was like, what the heck are we doing? But I trusted this so much. And I’ve been talking to people about this a lot this week, how our identities are formed when we’re kids, the way we’re treated, the way we’re talked to, what they tell us. And then when you leave home, where does that identity come from? You just play it out again and again. I was blessed when I was blessed when I, in my early twenties, I had some really, really wise therapists and mentors. And one of them had me take a look at what my identity was. And then he said, what is it really? And a lot of it came from what they told me growing up. Our relatives, church, society. The boys aren’t supposed to cry. Yes, we are. You know, we have a feminine side. We’re allowed to do that. And so the programming is so debilitating. And guys and gals, I am sick and tired of watching people take up space, use up oxygen here, not living their soul’s purpose. And I say that with compassion in my heart, because I understand I was one of them. You know, I was drinking the Kool-Aid. I was taking the blue pill for a long time until I woke up. And once you wake up, it’s like that saying is once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Like Neo in the Matrix movie, when he figured out what the hell was really going on, he threw up. It made him sick to his stomach. He took that red pill and got the chance to see everything. But use it. Use the awareness. Be the inspiration. You know, Mel Robinson, you know, Mel Robinson, her wonderful book. What is it? God, I’m having trouble with it. She says, let them do them. But let you do you. Because if you’re doing you, you’ll inspire some people. You want to inspire everybody because they’ll want to shoot you or talk behind your back. You’re crazy and all that. But just do you here. And the do you is inside of your soul. It’s like a program that our creator put in there. Even before they say we came into this reality. We already knew what we’re here to do. Rabbi Joe calls it dimensional amnesia. When we come here, we have amnesia. We don’t know who the hell we’re really, who we really are, what we’re supposed to do. But you can figure it out. You come out of the amnesia. And you guys see it like I do. The robots walking around. Okay, the bots, as I like to call them. They have no idea what the hell they’re doing here. But that little voice, that little nudge, I call it the Eli effect. That’s what I call mine. I started to trust it. There are times I made some decisions that seemed cray cray to me. But boy, did it work out. You know, when I got a job at this hospital in 1978, the hospital I grew up, was born in. The Red Sea parted to get that job. You know, I was shocked. But as I look back at it, I know I was supposed to be there because eventually all these doctors were going to start supporting me, believing in me, letting me use their office. I had one guy that co-signed my insurance forms for a while. He was that excited about supporting my mission. That’s how it will work. When you listen to this, you get blocked a lot. Okay, because you’re not doing what you’re here to do. You know, I’m going to my favorite restaurant here in a little bit. There’s a young man that works there. We’re kind of connecting. And that. And he chose to become a barber. Went through the training, went through the training, got licensed, and then he quit. He said, I couldn’t do it. It just doesn’t make any sense. And I did that when I sold real estate at the age of 21. I did it for a year and I got the hell out of that because that wasn’t what I was here to do. So this young man, he gave us the okay. We calibrated how much of his soul essence was involved as a barber. 15%. So when I’m going to drop off to him, he got together with a school counselor. And they came up with, I think, eight choices, career choices. My brother and I did the calibrations yesterday, which we’re willing to do if you guys pay the $20 fee just for our time. And there were three 100s we got for him out of the eight or nine. So I texted him last night. I told him about it. So he’s probably sitting waiting for me like a puppy dog. When are you coming? When are you going to show me? So I’ll do that when I’m done with this video. My point here is when you’re living your soul purpose, the body, the ego, the mind, the programming will work against you for a while. But the more you do it, the more this calms down. If you don’t do it, it’ll keep controlling you. It’s like I talk about in the book, the electric dog collar. You keep getting zapped. Here’s the thing. If you don’t mind getting zapped, you can run. My buddy, John Roma, he writes a lot of stuff on Facebook. I recommend following him. And he said, when you’re following your soul’s purpose, things like that, fear will be in your passenger seat for a while. But let it be there because it’ll die down. Remember when we all learned to drive, most of us were anxious. But because you wanted that license so bad, you were willing to deal with the pain that you were going through. And you know, you drive. So I just wanted to talk about this today. Ultimately, we have two choices here. You listen to your soul essence, the Eli effect, or you listen to this. And if you’re going to follow this, you’re going to live, you’re going to have a life. But you’re not going to self-actualize your life. You’re not going to be the person you were meant to be here. And I don’t want anybody on their deathbeds, including myself, sitting there with a lot of regrets. You know, I don’t care what age you are. Get busy living. Go do it now. Take that leap of faith, that skydive, metaphorically or literally. Because you were born with a mission here. That’s part of what the soul talks to us about. You have a mission. I have a mission. And if we’re not fulfilling that, other people will have to fill in for you and work harder. I just say, all the time in my practice, what would the world look like if everybody knew what the hell they were doing here? You know, some of us were not born to be parents. I’m one of them. I knew it at 17 and 18. And thankfully, I listened to it. I see some really crappy parenting out there. Because they did it because the program told them, you got to have grandkids, you got to have kids, you got to get married. Not everybody’s here to do that. You know, I love being single. I have my niece and great niece and nephew. They satiate that thing for me. But that’s not what I was here to do. So think about what I’m saying if you guys can. All right, I’m going to cut this off. It’s a beautiful sunny day here. We’re going to the Blues Fest tonight. So I’m all lathered. Wendy’s all ready to go. But we got to do a little work today. So think about what I said. And if you need any help. You know, I’m doing online stuff now. Actually, my beloved publisher, William, is interested in doing some sessions with me because I was talking to him a couple of days ago about what the book’s really about. He said, Tom, I think I need your help. So, you know, we can do the calibrations and everything. But get busy living or get busy dying. Choose this or this. Comes down to two choices. It’s that simple. You know, heads or tails? I went for tails, I think. All right. Love you guys. God bless you. Talk to you soon.
